On the other hand, my budget is around $15,000 and I really would want a piano around 6' or bigger, new or pre-owned.

But I would trust the Baldwin brand name more, whereas I am quite hesitant about things "made in China". Is this true? I think I liked the Baldwin touch slightly better, though not that much better on that particular one that I tried. I didn't quite like the bright sound of the Nordiska, but the owner said they can prep it to my liking as long as I like the touch, and that it can be done only on good pianos such as this brand. But say, if those 2 pianos mentioned are of the same quality, which would be the better deal? I would think if I really like the piano, then any price could be a good deal. I have not played on lots of pianos, and honestly not real sure what touch or tone I'm looking for. The owner was selling it for around $23,000. The other piano I was trying is the brand new Baldwin 5'8. We were looking at a brand new 6'1, model 185C, and the price he was willing to sell is $8,900. Most of the parts are German, but assembled in China. Nordiska is a Swedish piano, made since 1926, but recently moved to China. The store is going out of business, as they advertise, and the owner said everything is marked down incredibly. I just visited a piano store this evening.

Any of your input is greatly appreciated. But my knowledge about pianos is very limited, that's why I like to post my questions here in this forum. It has always been my dream to own a grand.
